Hope everyone is good! I’ve just made a tea and I’m excited to share this review for Maui Moisture. (Yes its just as thirst-quenchingly tropical as it sounds.) Maybe I should have switched my tea for a pina colada?

So Maui Moisture is a haircare brand that is all about wholesome beauty. It was inspired by the Hawaiian islands that bear tropical fruit and ingredients, much like Maui in the centre. The islands are booming with beautiful, vibrant and nourishing fruits that are packed full of potent, botanical goodness. (I’ll take a crate load.)
- Mountain Apples
- Dragon Fruit
These are just a selection of the top fruits that I found here , but the list of fruits would continue. Needless the say there is a natural cluster of extracts that hold rich potent goodness for your body inside and out. So Maui Moisture wanted to incorporate that in their haircare range. Most products for hair used a controlled deionized water that is chemically treated as the base for their line. Maui Moisture chose to not use this to ensure that your hair protected naturally. They infused together Pure Coconut Water & Aloe Vera Juice to create their base.
The entire vegan range consists of 7 sets, all with unique and healing purposes for all types of hair and textures. They are free from Parabens, Ales, SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate), Mineral Oils and Silicones. This ensures healthier and stronger hair that will feel nourished for longer.
My boyfriend picked me up this set from Boots.com near his work in London. I’d previously used the shampoo in this exact range and really enjoyed it. So he surprised me with the shampoo & conditioner. It really is a lovely aromatic range! ❤
This set works to nourish the hair whilst providing moisture control, with its added Coconut Water, Guava Oil and Mango Butter. Essential fruit oils that help to lock in moisture around my hair and keep it from drying out. The aroma is sweet and tropical, much like the entire range of Maui Moisture.
I’ve been using this and my hair feels softer and less dry. It leaves my hair when I wash it in the morning feeling nourished and it makes styling it a hell of a lot easier too! I also wash my hair in the evening, which I know to some is excessive. But my hair is very fine and travelling to Central London and who wouldn’t wanna wash their hair after riding the tube!! On days off though, usually like now if I’m just writing in the house, I wont wash my hair for the day. I like to let some of the natural oils that excrete from my hair, protect my hair. I know stripping the oils every day, sometimes twice will cause my hair to be dryer and more brittle. So on the days I do wash my hair for, and after work, I will use a good natural shampoo & conditioner to provide healthier protection when needed.
The 7 ranges included in Maui Moisture are:
- Strength & Anti-Breakage + Rich Agave (for chemically damaged hair)
- Heal & Hydrate + Shea Butter (for dry and damaged hair)
- Smooth & Repair + Vanilla Bean (for frizzy, unruly hair)
- Nourish & Moisture + Coconut Milk (for dry hair)
- Curl & Quench + Coconut Oil (for curly hair)
- Thicken & Restore + Bamboo Fibres (for weak, brittle hair)
- Protect & Hydrate + Sea Minerals (for colour protection, coloured treated hair)
For those interested, as I’ve mentioned above I got my set from Boots. So I’ll link below with the page where the range is included. I am interested to try the thickening and restoring version with Bamboo Fibres. I’d like to have thicker hair, so I might get that a go next and see whether it improves my hair quality.
I linked both these UK stores as they usually hold most of the range. You will however need to look at larger store along high street to choose the range in person. Prices start roughly at £6 (if you are lucky to get it on promotion) – £9. So have a look around!
Let me know if you’ve ever tried the Maui Moisture Range and thanks for reading with me today! I’ll see you all on our next blog post!
