I’ve wanted to share a pair of boots I found on ASOS, by a brand called ‘Base London’.
Mentioning previously about upping my shoe collection and giving myself more options to play with, had me purchasing these boots featured.
I’d never heard of Base London before, but since ASOS is a fantastic website that promotes independent brands, it was available for me to come across. And I’m bloody glad I did!
These boots are ridiculously comfortable!! SO much so, that I ordered a second pair as soon as I tried them on.
I ordered them as I said from ASOS, for £80. A really great price, for a proper leather made boot.
British heritage, class and military aesthetics, are what inspire Base London’s solid collections. They were established in 1995, when there was a serious lack in demand for men’s footwear. This led them to build a solid foundation and really set themselves ahead, against future competition. Not only do they breathe British style, but they are stylishly comfy too.
I am unlucky, that I always get blisters from new shoes. I’ve only come across a few makes of shoe, that allow me to wear a new pair for a whole day and not have to worry about those sore feet afterwards. Base London is one of those brands. They really engineer and construct their boots/shoes well. Allowing for pure comfort and a pair of footwear that will actually last!
I love the minimal approach on these boots too. They remind me heavily of London and even though clean, have a gritty appeal to them. I feel like they serve London beautifully.
I was always wearing them at my old job too. Pairing them with looks, like the photo above. I wanted something black, military style and simple. Something I would be able to incorporate, into different looks. I’m happy I ordered two pairs of this boot, so they will be styled on my feet for many years to come!
I’m really looking forward to showing these off more, with some different outfits for my blog. I’ve added them to the haul I have for future outfit posts, once I’ve moved to Glasgow that is. I’m really excited to hit the streets with my friend Zoë and take some proper shoots of my looks! So watch this space!!
