Reclaimed Vintage Party Shirt – In Grey Silk – ASOS

I love a good bathroom selfie. This is quite a throwback to before the end of last year. I had my natural hair going for me then (before I bleached it and turned it grey) and I’d bought myself this silk style party shirt, from ASOS. I love it!

This was taken at work before I opened the store. Had a few moments to snap my outfit for that day. The great thing about an independent business, is that I was able to wear my own clothes. And having that freedom to put together outfits again, was great!

I stumbled across this reclaimed party shirt on ASOS, by accident. I was just browsing as you do and this fell onto my screen and I was taken straight away. I love its uniqueness, stone coloured grey and sheen too. It catches the light perfectly!

I’d been after a shirt (preferably one for a night out with the girls) that made a point for ages. One that shouted when I wore it, “I’m here, I’m queer, but who is she tho?” (Throwing in some gay slang there, so apologies if you aren’t following!)

Another plus I’ve remembered with the photo below, is that I was having a good hair day too. I ride a moped scooter as my mode of transport, so often I dress nicely and then battle helmet hair afterwards. Think it is clear to say, I was living that day, in terms of my hair.

Lets run down the look

Reclaimed Vintage Party Shirt – ASOS – £40

I posted this onto Instagram and one of my new followers Jac, commented saying I looked like Ed Westwick here. Hands down the nicest comment I’ve ever received from anyone. He plays that devilishly handsome Chuck Bass, from that hit tv series, (xoxo) Gossip Girl.

Back to the shirt, ASOS is always such a good place to find these little hidden gems. It was one of my favourite pieces of clothing to wear to work this shirt. Always getting compliments and looks. I’ve actually got my eye on another shirt I’ve just seen over on ASOS. Should I? I’d might be able to post a more current OOTD with that one too!?

Thanks a lot for checking out this post and reading. Any questions? Hit me up in the comments, over on Twitter or Instagram.
