Another jacket I’ve wanted to feature was my first ever leather jacket. I only got this a little while ago from an AllSaints outlet store in Southampton. My mum and myself spotted the little store and decided to just have a look. It is always hit and miss with an outlet store, so our hopes were about the same as the weather outside, grey and dreary. After a good half hour browse, we both had picked up an outerwear piece in our sizes and purchased, bewildered that we had actually found something we genuinely thought yasss too.
Now, I’ve been wanting a leather jacket for sometime. I’ve had friends who’ve had them and I thought the ‘no cares’ attitude that comes with a black leather biker jacket was too good to pass up. The wonderful thing about a leather jacket is the option to dress it up or down. It is a versatile piece of outerwear that can be styled with many options.
The jacket I’ve mentioned is suede, so there was no chance I was leaving the outlet store wearing it into the coastal rainy weather. Even though I saved a huge fortune and some, I still kept it wrapped until I was home. It was a long journey home! I must say this is one of my favourite buys ever. I am thoroughly chuffed overall, but also the reason that I appear much older when I wear it. I start looking like I’m 24 and not 16, it’s great!
The rest of the outfit were day to day pieces and uniform from my job at Jack Wills. Again shirts are marvellous at creating the illusion of looking more mature. Each piece here has range to dress up or down. Id I had rolled my jeans above my ankles, tucked in and buttoned my shirt up, the whole look is similar, yet very different. (Maybe that’s a possibility for future posts? Same clothes but styled differently?)
Anyway, let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Make sure you check out my Lookbook account and follow me on their too.
