Did my eyes deceive me, no. Food inspired clothing, fast food to be exact. I am aware I’m a little late in writing about this collection as everyone else knows about the Moschino Autumn/Winter 2014-15 collection. But it is a great concept!
Firstly a hearty good morning to you all. It is early early as I write this before work. Here’s looking to a good day (one can hope!).
So Jeremy Scott was asked to work for the house of Moschino and I believe he has put his everything into the collection. Now I’ve mentioned that Alexander McQueen was of my favourite designer, but Jeremy Scott is another top favourite. The designer has worked numerous times with the Korean pop artists 2ne1 and Jeremy Scott has said that the leader of the group, CL, was his muse.
So the collection, what did it include? Take a look below, as you have models wearing McDonald’s uniforms holding serving trays with quilted bags. We have sweet wrapper ball gowns and children’s television character Spongebob Square Pants seems to have made an appearance along the catwalk. Jeremy had a vision of fast food & fast fashion to create this collection. The designer’s collection has already sold out on items days after the show. The red and yellow, Moschino ‘M’ bag was one of the quickest to go. The phrase ‘I’m Loving It’ seems a little humorous but works.
So enough with the writing and onto the photos below.
As you can see the colours are bold and designs are loud and proud. Even with a concept that the fashion world isnt a big fan off we get a great collection. The concept I’m referring too is fast food, we all love fast food, even the models but the fashion world always has stories about models staving themselves. So using a concept of ‘fatty, salty’ foods to create this collection was a bold move. But I think it works really well. Personally I really like the Moschino show. It is what fashion is about, making a statement, and showing creative energy and flair. Even though it has caused an up roar the collection is smashing!
Here we have Jeremy Scoot pictured in the middle next to two models wearing the collection.
Any thoughts on the collection? Comment below and let me know your response.
